2 -15.5 cans chick peas (also called garbanzo beans)
1/2 cup tahini
2 lemons, juiced
5 garlic cloves, grated
5 tablespoons juice or water
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
Salt to taste (if you don’t want to use salt, put more lemon juice)
Put both cans of chick peas in a saucepan, bring to a boil and let boil for 5 minutes. Drain, saving the juice. Hull each of the chick peas and put into a food processor fitted with a steel blade.
Process the chick peas for 1 minute. Add in lemon juice, tahini, grated garlic, the chick pea juice or water and 1 tablespoon olive oil, puree until smooth, if it is too thick add in more juice or water. Serve cold or room temperature with the other tablespoon of olive oil drizzled over it. Perfect with https://www.justinthekitchen.com/easy-pita-chips/
