3/4 Cup Water
5 Cups Strawberries
3/4 Cup Sugar
3 Tbls Corn Starch
3 oz Strawberry Jello
2 tsp Lemon Juice
2 tsp Butter
1/2 Cup Ice Cubes
1 Baked Pie Crust
- Prepare pie shell and cool
- To make the filling add the water, sugar, cornstarch, strawberry jello and lemon juice into a large saucepan, bring to a boil and cook stirring the whole time for about 2 minutes or until the mixture is no longer cloudy looking, remove from heat and add butter. Stir until melted.
- Add ice cubes and stir until sauce cools and thickens.
- Pour the sauce (reserve 1/2 cup) over the strawberries stir to coat well and then pour the filling in the cooled pie crust, pop it in the fridge along with the extra for a minimum of 3 hours or overnight.
