Prep time: Active: 30 minutes Inactive: 20 Minutes
Servings: 6
3 Pounds Idaho Potatoes
1 stick of Butter
1/2-3/4 cup Milk
Salt to taste
1) Peel and slice potatoes to about an inch thick. Put in cold water with a pat of butter in the water and bring to boil. Boil for about 20 minutes until they fall apart on when pierced with a fork.
2) Drain Potatoes and put into a boil with the butter and salt. Whip with a mixer until potatoes are broken down.
3) Add Milk, start with a little bit and continue to mix adding milk until you get to the desired creaminess you want. The amount you add can vary depending on how much moisture your potatoes soaked up during the boiling process.
(cooks note: don't let your potatoes cool down and try to mash, they will become gluey)
