Calla Lily Tea Sandwiches
Prep Time: 15 minutes Makes 18 sandwiches
- 8oz softened cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons finely diced carrots
- 2 tablespoons finely diced red pepper
- 1 tablespoon finely diced scallion whites
- 1 teaspoon minced celery leaves
- 18 julienned carrot pieces
- 19 scallion green stems
- 18 slices thin white sandwich bread
- Mix Softened cream cheese, diced carrots, red pepper and scallion whites thoroughly
- Roll with a rolling pin over sandwich round to flatten a little. With a 3 inch round cutter, cut out the circle. Spread completely all over the round.
- Place carrot in the center upper portion of the round for the stamen and place scallion stem at the bottom for the calla lily stem.
- Roll the side of the bread over the green onion , overlapping the bread and press together. You now have a calla lily!
