2 large apples
1/2 cup butter
1 cup apple cider
3/4 cup sugar
8 large buttermilk biscuits
4 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla paste
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1) Peel and core apples and cut each apple into 8 even wedges, you will have 16
pieces
2) Split biscuits into two halves horizontally.
3) Flatten out each of the split biscuits until about the size of your palm. Place a wedge of apple into the dough and wrap around apple. Pinch the dough tightly.
Place seam side down in a 9x13 baking dish. Repeat with remaining apples slices
until you have 16 pieces
4). In a medium saucepan add apple cider, butter, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, vanilla, 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg and salt. bring to a boil of medium heat and let boil for 2
minutes.
5) Pour sauce evenly over the apple biscuit slices.
6) Mix 1/4 cup sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon and 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg and sprinkle mixture evenly over wrapped apples.
7) Bake for 30 minutes, until golden brown. This is good for breakfast or dessert. This is even better with Ice Cream!!!
